Dear Heart Fit Clinic Family,

We are so happy to say we are open and seeing patients in the clinic. We are following the Alberta Health guidelines and continuously monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 situation to ensure that our patients and staff remain healthy and safe.

As always, safety is our top priority, so we have made some updates at the clinic:


All clients will be pre-screened and asked the following:

  1. Have you had any recent international travel?
  2. Do you have any symptoms related to COVID-19?
  3. Have you been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case?

Social Distancing 

  • Clients must come only at their scheduled appointment time. If you are early, you must wait in the mezzanine until the previous client’s appointment is finished or until a staff member asks you to come in.
  • Only one client (or couple) will be allowed in a room at a time.
  • Clients are advised to keep the number of family/friends accompanying to the appointment to one person and only if necessary.
  • Clients will do their best to adhere to social distancing measures of 2 meters with other clients.
  • If possible, phone calls or online video meetings will be scheduled to review results.
  • Reference markers are placed on the floor to help clients maintain a 2-meter distance while booking appointments and purchasing supplies.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Alberta Health Services require all healthcare workers to be wearing masks during client interaction.
  • All clients will be asked to bring and wear their mask to their appointment. If they do not have one, we will provide one for them.

Hand Hygiene 

  • Hand sanitizer stations are in every room.
  • Clients are required to sanitize their hands upon entering the clinic.
  • Healthcare workers will wash their hands for at least 20 seconds between every client interaction and sanitize as per clinical judgement.

High Contact Areas 

  • During this time, magazines are removed from the waiting area
  • You may pay whichever method is most comfortable to you.
    • Our payment gateway is sanitized between each transaction.
    • You will have the ability to pay online.
    • Cash or cheque can be placed in an envelope.
  • Pillowcases are changed after each client.
  • All chairs, treatment tables, exercise equipment, and ECP beds are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each patient use.
  • Frequently touched areas: door handles, light switches, taps, phones, computer keyboards, remote controls, counters will be sanitized between client visits.

Products and Supplies

  • We are doing our best to ensure supplies, products, and supplements are in stock.
  • We would prefer that supplements be pre-ordered, so we have them ready for you when you come in.
  • Supplements can be mailed to clients.

The guidelines we are following are based on the recent documents posted by the Alberta Health Services and may be required to be updated as policies change. Our goal is to ensure all our clients and staff are healthy and that we can continue to help our clients’ hearts!
